50 Mw Of Energy Storage Inverters Commissioned
In December 2012, Dynapower Company LLC, a Vermont-based leading supplier of power conversion systems, authorized over 50 megawatts (MW) of grid tied bi-directional energy storage inverters.
These inverters are the vital elements of energy storage systems that connect to the electric grid through a variety of storage mediums, including lithium ion and lead acid batteries.
The projects will display how energy storage and power management technologies can help grid-scale wind and solar PV power systems address intermittency issues by utilizing an energy storage and power management system that optimizes the delivery of energy, in addition to providing regulation service to the utility market.
