Mercedes-Benz Home Energy Storage

Mercedes-Benz Energy is entering the UK market with its home energy storage systems. The lithium-ion batteries have a capacity of 2.5kWh, but can be scaled up to contain up to 8 modules and suit both individual and industrial needs.

According to Daimler, by installing the energy storage system to work with a solar photovoltaic units, homeowners can raise their self-consumption of generated energy above 60%. The system comes with a 15-year warranty on parts and the expected battery lifetime of the Energy Storage Home units is rated at 8,000 charge/discharge cycles and charge retention after ten years in use at 80%.

No wonder there is a great interest in the Mercedes-Benz Energy Storage Home units in the UK. To support this strategic entry and to have a successful and long-term presence several installer and distribution partners have been chosen. The company has also expanded in Belgium and the Netherlands and Austria.
