Lotte Chemical Receives Energy Storage System
Menomonee Falls-based ZBB Energy Corp. has shipped an energy storage and power control system to South Korean firm Lotte Chemical, formerly known as Honam Petrochemical.
Both companies have a business relationship that gives Lotte, the ability to market ZBB systems in parts of South Korea.
More than a year ago, both companies selected Jeju Island as a test bed for a national “smart grid” project which aims to reduce carbon emissions and increase energy security for the country. The eventual goal is for the development of microgrids across the country, with increased use of renewable energy coupled with energy storage and power management.
