New Updated Energy Storage Conference Speakers

JUST ADDED:  A new C-LEVEL representative from TERNA will also take part in Forum Day 1 with his colleague from the Innovation department. There maybe a new announcement made during the Forum. Anticipation is running high as we count down towards the start of our 5th Energy Storage Forum in Rome. To add to the excitement, we are pleased to announce the addition of several notable speakers and panelists to our Forum’s line-up.

Day 1 of the Forum will have utilities speakers such as EDF, ENEL, ENBW, RWE, this day will then conclude with a stimulating round of discussion centered around topics such as “To What Extent Can The Intermittence Of Power From Renewable Energy Sources Impact The Power Market?”, “Should ES Investments Be Recognised In The Asset Base?” and “Can An Energy Storage Investment Be Profitable By Serving A Single Application?”.

Mr Alberto Bianchi, Commissioner, Italian Authority for Energy & Gas has also been confirmed as one of the panelists contributing to this fruitful round of discussions together with Dr Luigi de Francisci, Director of Market and Regulatory Affairs, Terna and Mr Francesco Sessa, Vice President of Network Development, Enel.

On Day 2 of our conference we will have a thought provoking presentation that will challenge us to consider how new materials and the advent of the Information Age will shape the world of Energy Storage. This presentation will be delivered by Mr John Petersen, Lawyer, Fefer Petersen & Cie, one of the most respected think tanks on the subject. Mr Federico Santi, Professor, University of Rome and Managing Director, Studio Santi and Mr Alfonso Damiano, Associate Professor, Regione Autonoma della Sardegna, will also be sharing their insights regarding a key innovative energy storage technology in the Tech Soap Box segment of our conference.

This segment is a feature unique to our conference and serves to enhance the understanding of the potential benefits of one technology across one specific application effectively and efficiently. The session will prove to be particularly engaging as it provides an opportunity for you as a delegate, to vote for the presentation that most convincingly made a case for the concrete viability of a particular energy storage technology.

Once again, Day 2 of our Forum will close on a high note as Mr Hiroyuki Abe, Manager of System Design, Design Department, NAS Battery Division, NGK Insulators, one of four panelists, engages in a panel discussion on “The Main Advantages and Disadvantages between NaS and Li-Ion Batteries”.
