Lithium-Ion Battery Market Set to Grow – Energy Storage World Forum

‘Global Lithium-ion Battery Market 2012-2016’, a report published by Reportstack, has revealed that the global lithium-ion battery market is set to grow at a CAGR of 17.9% over the period of 2012-2016. The report covers the Americas, APAC and EMEA regions.

One of the key factors said to contribute to this growth is the growing demand for li-ion batteries in grid energy storage. Advancement in technology is also said to play a key role in the batteries’ market expansion. On the other hand, the high cost of the batteries could potentially hinder the growth, states the report, which has been published after in-depth market research, and with inputs from experts.
