Microgrid Market To Quadruple To $40b In 7 Years
The worldwide microgrid market is going to be worth more than $40 billion every year as soon as 2020.
According to the report from Navigant Research, microgrids are gaining demand because of cheaper solar energy systems and rising ease of installations of such facilities. Furthermore, disruptions to the grid by extreme weather has also increased awareness about microgrids and their reliable energy supply. Another contributing factor is also the rising cost of diesel, used to generate electricity in isolated regions.
