Microgrid Market Set To Expand More Than 3 Times, To $18.9b

With Asia and Europe now following the lead of USA in the microgrid industry, the global microgrid market is expected to hit $18.9 billion by 2020, up from $5.3 billion in 2012.

In Europe alone, the market is forecast to grow from $710 million in 2012 to $5.3 billion by 2020.

China, the largest market in Asia, looks like it will maintain its dominance in the industry with a 40 percent share.
