Outback Power Launches Incentive Program For Solar Storage

Outback Power Technologies, Inc. has just launched SystemEdge, a new energy storage program meant to incentivise solar installers to integrate storage into their systems. As a designer and manufacturer of advanced power electronics for renewables, OutBack Power is a recognised leader in the off-grid power generation industry. Now, it is the only solar industry brand that offers both power conversion and energy storage.

While utilities and other regulatory bodies are working out incentives at the state and utility level, OutBack Power is acting at the consumer level.

With this program, OutBack Power is taking the lead in driving energy storage, instead of waiting for utilities to make moves regarding energy storage, said Glenn Baker, vice president of sales and support for OutBack Power.

The incentive program runs from April 6 to October 31, 2015. Payouts are applied to systems of at least 4 kWh and vary based on the amount of storage and system capacity present but will range from $200 to $800 per project.
