Sell Your Solar Energy Back To The Grid With Smart Grids
Solar energy currently accounts for only 2 percent of the energy mix in the world, but that could change with smart grids.
According to Henning Wicht, Senior Director at iSuppli, and Edwin Koot, CEO of Solarplaza, grid integration and smart energy management are essential to allowing solar to gain a larger share of the energy pie.
Smart grids will help solar to do that by smoothing out energy peaks, and help private producers monitor and control their solar energy supply. This way, even residential solar producers can sell their excess energy back to the grid.
