New Software To Optimise Grid-Scale Storage Systems
Start-up Greensmith, a leading provider of grid-scale energy storage software and integration solutions has unveiled a new visualisation and simulation application to optimise battery systems, from inception to end of life.
StorageModel and StorageView, its new applications for the storage software platform, will allow energy storage developers and customers to test alternative storage system designs and gain valuable real-time intelligence on performance.
This new system overcomes the problem of presenting data to utilities and end customers in an understandable way, helping them develop the best possible system for their particular end use and maximise return on investment.
Greensmith CEO John Jung calls it a ” packaged version of an internal set of tools we’ve been using for a long time”.
“Like a wind tunnel for automobile designers, StorageModel lets storage developers and owners evaluate alternative designs before making investment decisions.” The StorageView application provides customers with unprecedented visualization.
Last year, the U.S. Energy Storage Monitor from GTM Research and Energy Storage Association (ESA), reported that 61.9 MW of energy storage came online in the U.S. Of that, over a third was delivered by Greensmith.
