Wait for ESF Rome 2012 Is Over!

The wait is over as Day 1 of the 5th Energy Storage Forum kicks off today in Rome. Day 1 of the Forum promises to be a multi-faceted platform for the achieving of a viable business case and a regulatory framework that will enable the profitable deployment of grid energy storage solutions. Speakers will be presenting on energy storage’s return on investment, the comparison of different energy storage technologies, the smart grid, energy storage pilot projects and experts’ forecast for the future of energy storage in Europe.

The examination of the economic dimension of grid energy storage application such as its profitability as a potential investment will be addressed on Day 1, with speakers such as Mr Gregory Fayet (Project Leader Economy & Regulation of Energy Storage, EDF) presenting on ‘Analysing the Economic Conditions of Potential Energy Storage Services in Europe’.

The delving deeper into the business case according to different applications by comparing different energy storage technologies will also be on Day 1’s agenda as speakers such as Mr Michele Governatori (Head Of Public & Regulatory Affairs, EGL ITALIA) presents on ‘Assessing Costs and Benefits of Batteries in the High Voltage Transmission Grid’.

Day 1 of the Forum will also see Mr Giorgio Crugnola (Energy Storage System Design Manager, FIAMM) presenting on ‘Examining the Results from the Energy OASIS Project and Overcoming the Energy Supply Challenges within Islands and Rural Areas’.

If you want to know more about this and other topics directly from end users of energy storage technologies join us at one of these annual events: The Energy Storage World Forum (Grid Scale Applications), or The Residential Energy Storage Forum, or one of our Training Courses.
