We Need Battery Software That Acts Like The Brain: Adaptably

With technology evolving so rapidly, it’s imperative to ensure that your hardware doesn’t get left behind every time a new software emerges in the market.

That’s why Greensmith Energy Management System’s focus is not on the type of battery technology that stores energy, but on the computerised codes and commands that control the usage of that energy.

Greensmith CEO John Jung explains that by focusing on the software, they can easily adapt to a new technology within a few months, something hardware companies would probably have a harder time doing.

With advanced software, people can change the way they use energy storage systems as well. For example, your storage technology could be currently used for grid stability, but could also be easily wired to charge up electric vehicles. “Component technologies may change, but the customer still needs a single, trusted technology partner to stand behind installed and future systems,” Jung notes.

Ultracapacitor UPS (U-UPS) for voltage dips and micro-interruptions

Power interruptions are the most frequent power supply problems with wide-ranging consequences for industry. The causes of these interruptions include short-circuits in the distribution grid, lightning strikes, the connection and disconnection of power plants as well as volatile energy producers such as wind and solar. Because technologies and production processes are becoming increasingly complex, the…
