Maria Brucoli

Dr Maria Brucoli is a chartered electrical engineer with over 14 years of experience both in academia and industry. Maria holds a first class cum summa laude master’s degree from Politecnico di Bari in power systems engineering and a PhD from Imperial College, London where she was also a research associate in microgrids and active networks design.

Her industry work spans numerous fields of electrical engineering from design for building services to research on urban and rural energy systems.

Currently she works in the EDF Energy R&D UK Centre supporting the business activities around distributed generation, battery storage, microgrids and local energy markets.

Before joining EDF Energy, Maria worked at Arup as a senior consultant on some of the most iconic landmarks in London and around the world.
