Superior Industrial Engineer specialized in Electric and Electronics in the Polytechnical University of Madrid (UPM).
I began my professional career at the engineering firm of Iberdrola as a project engineer, participating and leading distribution and generation projects, at Instrumentation and Control discipline. I joined Standardization Spanish National committee UNE (formerly AENOR) in 2005 as standardization technician for supporting several electrotechnical committees, at distribution and renewable generation level.
In 2009 I joined REE, Spanish TSO, supporting and coordinating the standardization activities at national level of my company since then at the Design Department.
I am chairman of the Spanish mirror committees of IEC TC 120: Electrical Energy Storage (EES) Systems, and IEC TC 38: Instrument transformers. I am Spanish Delegate for IEC TC 120 plenary meetings and member of its working groups WG1, WG2 and WG3. I am also convenor of TF Electricity, in CEN CENELEC group: Energy Storage of the Sector Forum for Energy Management.
I have also participated in the definition, testing and implementation of some REE´s R&D projects for electrical storage systems, involving batteries, supercapacitors and flywheel technologies. I was speaker World Energy Storage Forum in Berlin, in May 2017.
