10+ years’ technical expertise covering many aspects of the energy industry and renewable generation, but now focusing on energy storage and helping drive development of E.ON’s residential PV & battery business in the UK.

Broad industry experience includes: kW-to-GW-scale generation technologies (coal, gas, biomass and gasification, hydrogen and fuel cells, anaerobic digestion, solar, wind, etc), energy policy & environmental legislation; system flexibility; energy economics & system modelling; PV generation equipment & tariffs; battery technology & ageing processes. A key interest is around operating the UK’s energy system in the context of the “Energy Trilemma” – maintaining security of supply whilst at the same time meeting environmental targets and keeping costs down for energy customers.
