DOE documents 420 energy storage projects – Energy Storage World Forum

America’s Department of Energy (DOE) has documented 420 global energy storage projects in its database. The information in the database, about grid-connected energy storage projects, along with relevant state and federal policies, is free-for-use.

Funded by the DOE’s Sandia National Laboratories, the database lists projects from 34 nations, with a combined installed capacity of 123GW. The list includes multiple battery technologies, superconducting magnetic energy storage, compressed air energy storage, flywheels, pumped hydroelectric, gravel energy storage, hydrogen energy storage, and thermal energy storage projects.
