New Research Plant For University Of Queensland
A 3.28MW capacity PV research plant will be built by First Solar in Australia’s University of Queensland. The collaboration between the university and the US thin-film company will use the AUD$40.7 million grant provided by the Australian government to fund the project.
The biggest solar park in Queensland, it will be located at the Gatton Park campus of the university. It will make use of 34,000 First Solar CdTe thin-film modules. First Solar will provide all the engineering, procurement and construction services, while the university’s Property and Facilities Division will oversee the project’s overall management.
