BYD Sets Sight On Australia

BYD sees Australia, with its abundant rays of sunshine, as the next big market for energy storage.

Focusing on residential storage, the Chinese company will be marketing its home energy storage system called the DESS and other products with an Australian company Fe Batteries. As feed-in tariffs decrease in Australia, more homes with solar PV will require storage, which BYD provides.

BYD is one of the fastest growing automotive and green tech companies in China, with Warren Buffett owning 10 percent of their shares.
