Japanese, German companies partner to offer residential energy storage in Germany

Kyocera Corporation from Japan has teamed up with Energetik Solartechnologie-Vertriebs GmbH and Solare Datensysteme GmbH from Germany to provide homeowners with solar power generation and energy storage.

The storage solution combines Kyocera’s battery storage system and Solare Datensysteme’s energy monitoring software and hardware, “Solar-Log”, to be used in residential solar PV systems. A multi-inverter in the system achieves charging efficiency of 97%. As a separate component from the battery box, both can be installed easily in homes.

By providing comprehensive data on the state of electricity usage, residents can optimise energy use in their homes. This will allow homeowners to realise real cost advantages and reduce reliance on the electricity grid.

CEO of Solare Datensysteme, Dr. Frank Schlichting, notes that an “intelligent energy management solution” is the most important factor to supply energy globally that is “responsible and sustainable.”
