Missouri S&T Students Conduct A Microgrid Feasibility Study
Students at the Missouri University of Science and Technology have built 4 solar homes that are now used as experimental sites for microgrid. This is part of the university’s Solar Village project.
The project, which is in its initial phase, involves utility companies such as the Army Corps of Engineers and other Missouri businesses. As the four homes are of unique designs, the aim of the project is to show that microgrids are feasible no matter what kind of home it will be connected to.
The researchers are also concerned about the security of the intelligence system, as such a system needs to be hacker-proof.
