56 GW Of Energy Storage Installed On The Grid By 2022
According to Pike Research, some 56 GW of Energy Storage on the Grid (ESG) will be installed from now till 2022.
This report comes at a time when advanced storage technologies are emerging — such as next-generation compressed air energy storage and pumped storage, as well as advanced batteries. These will change the way the conventional grid operates in terms of efficiency and flexibility.
In addition, vendors have begun to change their approach towards selling their products; they are delivering a whole system of applications and highlighting total value, rather than individual technologies that would complicate things for the customer.
